Nearly $1.4 Million Earmarked for Dallas County HIV Battle

(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas County will receive a federal grant of almost $1.4-million to combat the spread of HIV in Texas. Senator John Cornyn made the announcement Wednesday.

Cornyn’s office commends the Trump administration for prioritizing the health of Texans and credits Dallas County for securing the funds to fight the deadly disease.

The funding comes from a program called “Ending the HIV Epidemic” offered through the Department of Health and Human Services.

The program aims to reduce new HIV infections across the United States.
