Plano, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Plano Police say they caught a burglar in the act of stealing a purse from a woman’s car. It happened at the Costco on Central Expressway and Churchill.
A woman had exited the store, put her daughter in her car seat, and her purse in the front seat before returning her shopping cart.
Little did the suspect, 26-year old Terren Flowers know that he was under surveillance when he opened a car door and grabbed the purse.
Police have been tracking him for the same crime across the metroplex. He’s been arrested and jailed.
Our Clayton Neville spoke with Plano Police spokesman David Tilley about the incident, and how to stay safe:
Always be aware of your surroundings. Always lock your car when you walk away from it as it only takes a few seconds to fall victim to these criminals. Today, our Detectives were able to prevent another citizen from falling victim to his crime. #SuspectArrested #GoodGuysWin pic.twitter.com/QmWfiAJIYx
