DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Bishop Burns with the Catholic Diocese of Dallas released a statement following the arrest of former priest Richard Brown. Brown was arrested in Missouri after being accused of sexual assault earlier this week. The Aunt of the victim, who has not been named, claims the assault happened over three decades ago in 1989.
“We have taken extraordinary steps in order to assure an outreach to victims and to assure that we do everything possible to create a safe environment within our church, our school, and our perished programs,” said Burns.
A lawsuit has now been filed against the Catholic Diocese of Dallas by the Aunt of the victim.
