Former Lewisville Police detective arrested for sexually assaulting a child

Lewisville (WBAP/KLIF) – A veteran Lewisville Police detective has been arrested. Bryan Gibbins has been charged with eight counts of sexual assault of a child. No information about those charges has been publicly released. Gibbons is now in the Denton County Jail, and is being held on $4 million bail. He was a 13 year veteran of the Lewisville Police Department until he was fired last July. Ironically the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce gave Gibbins its “first responder of the month” award last March.
