HOUSTON (AP) – The damage from the deadly explosion at a manufacturing plant in Houston last week is worse than previously assessed.

A new assessment of the blast’s impact shows that 450 structures were damaged when the explosion rocked Watson Grinding and Manufacturing early Friday and the neighboring areas.

The report, released Monday, shows the numbers more than double the initial assessment of about 200 structures.

Frank Flores and Gerardo Castorena, Watson employees, were killed in the blast.

The Associated Press reports Flores’ family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the company and said the company declined to comment on the fourth civil lawsuit it’s facing in the aftermath of the explosion.
