WHITE SETTLEMENT (WBAP/KLIF) – The man who police say shot and killed two people inside a White Settlement church Sunday had a criminal history in Tarrant County.
According to the River Oaks Police Department, 43 year-old Keith Thomas Kinnunen was arrested for outstanding warrants in 2009 and 2015.
“He was arrested in 2015 for unpaid traffic tickets,” said River Oaks Deputy Chief Charles Stewart. ” And 2009 he was arrested on a Tarrant County warrant for Possession of narcotics.”
Stewart said Kinnunen’s address was listed in River Oaks but it’s not clear if he was living there at the time of Sunday’s shooting.
According to Police, Kinnunen opened fire inside West Freeway Church of Christ, killing 64-year-old Anton Wallace of Fort Worth and 67-year-old Richard White of River Oaks.
Kinnunen was gunned down by a trained volunteer congregant within six seconds of the killings.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading this investigation, with assistance from the Dallas Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
