THE COLONY (WBAP/KLIF)- Detectives in The Colony arrested a 19-year-old man who they say confessed to killing his sister.
Eduardo Arvelo was arrested and charged with capital murder. Police say he could face additional charges as the investigation continues. 23-year-old Viridiana Arevalo was reported missing from the family’s home on December 17th, her body was found Sunday in an alley on Strickland Avenue in The Colony.
Police say Eduardo Arevalo, confessed to killing her on December 16th because of a family conflict. “He said she was an embarrassment to their family and there was an incident in their house and out of anger he actually strangled her to death in their home,” said Sergeant Aaron Woodard with The Colony Police Department. Police said he then put his sister’s body in his car to hide her body outside of The Colony. But he then allegedly brought her body back into town and dumped her in the alley where she was found.
