Fundraiser for Rhome Family of Man Who Died Hanging Christmas Lights Surpasses Its Goal

RHOME  (WBAP/KLIF News) – A GoFundMe campaign for the family of the Rhome man who died after falling from a roof while hanging Christmas lights last weekend has surpassed it’s $20,000 goal.

The fundraiser for Felipe Gallegos’ family has raised $49,135 so far.

The tragic accident happened Saturday around 6:30 p.m. when Gallegos and his family were hanging lights on a client’s house.

After the fall, he was rushed to Medical City Denton where he later died.

He leaves behind a wife and a 17-year-old son.

Now, with Christmas just three weeks awaay, the family is figuring out how to move forward and a community is rallying around them during this difficult time.
