
Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – This week marked the start of a 2-year TxDOT feasibility study on the I-345 overpass; the 50-year old stretch of roadway feeds Interstates 75, 45, 30 and Woodall Rodgers.
Spokesman Tony Hartzell with TxDOT, says the structure on the east side of downtown.
“It’s going to be a huge study. We’re going to take a look at multiple options on just what to do with the freeway.”

Public hearings are underway this week. Among proposals discussed at the first hearing last night were removing the highway, putting it underground, depressing it, or keeping it as is.

Taking special interest in the the study is Dr. Terry Flowers, Perot Family Headmaster at St. Phillips School and Community Center.
The school sits right next to I-45.
Dr. Flowers is concerned about the impact of any changes to the bridge to the people in the southern sector of Dallas.
