Dallas County to Hold Public Hearing on Voting Centers

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas County Elections Department Administrator, Toni Pippins-Poole, wants to know what you think about the concept of voting centers recently adopted in the county.

Dallas County will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 3 to receive comments and statements from the public regarding the use of Countywide Vote Centers used in the November 5, 2019 General/Special and Joint Election. Public comments will be recorded and made a part of Dallas County’s request to permanently establish Countywide Vote Centers for Election Day voting in Dallas County.

“The state requires us to get feedback on the new voting centers as we move forward,” said Pippins-Poole. “We want to hear from people who liked the idea and from people who had issues with the concept.”

Pippins-Poole said the feedback she’s received so far has been positive overall.

The Public Hearing begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Dallas County Administration Building, Allen Clemson Courtroom, 411 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75202.
