Three North Texans Die Tragically in Separate Accidents in Belize

Belize (WBAP/KLIF) – Tragedy struck 3 North Texas families in 2 separate crashes while on holiday cruise vacations in Belize; each were on separate shore excursions when the accidents occurred.

A couple from Grand Prairie — Adrian and Sara Armijo were killed when their tour bus was hit head-on Wednesday. Mrs. Armijo was a long-time employee of Grand Prairie ISD. The couple and other family members were on their way back to their carnival cruise ship at the time. The Armiho’s son suffered severe leg injuries.

Just 24-hours later, on Thanksgiving day, 77-year-old Carolyn Gillis of Dallas was killed when a tour van driver lost

control of the vehicle after a tire blew out.

She, her husband and several other family members were booked on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Her husband suffered cuts and bruises; other family members were not hurt.
