Hempstead County, Arkansas (WBAP/Texa) – The former Red Lake Road Bridge in Arkansas is now the Maleah Davis Memorial Bridge.
The new name was unveiled by Hempfeild County Sheriff’s officials, over 6-months after deputies discovered the body of the slain 4-year old from Houston near the bridge.

“The detective that responded that day came to my office a few days later asking what we can do to honor that baby.”
Singleton told ABC13-Houston that after doing a little research they petitioned the state for the name change.
Maleah’s step-father, had reported her kidnapped by two men in Houston back in May.
During the search and investigation, he was eventually charged in her death.
