DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – An 11 year old boy was found fatally shot in his parents’ bedroom over the weekend. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the child as Daron Sneed Jr.
Officers were called out to South Highland Drive in Cedar Hill about 7:45 Saturday night. The boy was found fatally shot in an upstairs bedroom by his grandfather, who was home with him while his parents were at an event.
The grandfather says he was downstairs watching television, with an 8-year old, when he heard a noise. According to police, he found the boy in his parents bedroom, with a hand gun close by.
Lieutenant Colin Chenault with Cedar Hill police says investigators believe the boy accidentally shot himself.
