Red Cross Announces Financial Help for North Texas Tornado Victims

DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – The Red Cross announces emergency cash financial assistance up to $450 for the hardest-hit victims of the North Texas tornado strikes last Sunday.  Heads of households affected are encouraged to visit one of two Assistance Centers to go through the application process, which spokeswoman Renee Fulton says can take as little as 20 minutes.  The funds will be transferred to victim’s accounts immediately upon completion and acceptance in meeting assistance guidelines.

Financial assistance will allow tornado victims to make their own decisions about where cash is most needed first.  The cash will help North Texas storm victims in addition to the cleaning supplies, food, health, mental health and spiritual support being offered by the Red Cross.

Visit one of two centers to engage in the application process:

Richardson Senior Center, 820 W. Arapaho, Suite 100, Richardson

Multi Agency Resource Center, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9509 Midway Drive, Dallas

Residents in five counties of North Texas suffered losses in the tornadoes – Dallas, Collin, Panola, Harrison and Van Zandt.
