Ivanka Trump to Participates in Business Roundtable in Dallas

Sitting alongside Ivanka Trump at Dallas’ El Centro College, Google’s CEO’s announced that its joining a White House initiative to invest more in tech skills training for American workers.

Trump says the program creates more opportunities for the workers.

“Especially workers from large corporations or from individuals who have been out of the workforce and are coming back in to the workforce and are securing training through programs like this.”

The White House initiative is called the “Pledge to American Workers” and is aimed at getting workers more skills to meet company hiring demands.

Google is one of 350 companies on board.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Ivanka Trump is expected to participate in a business roundtable in Dallas today.

The first daughter and adviser to President Trump will be joined by a top engineer with Google; they are expected to make an announcement.

Ms. Trump is co-chair the Trump administration’s National Council for the American Worker which retrains workers for high-demand industries.

The location of the event has not been announced, but Dallasculturemap.com quotes El Centro College students who said they were informed that there is a huge event taking place that has required that parts of the campus to be closed down.

The college’s president, José Adames will participate in the event, along with Joe May, chancellor of Dallas County Community College District; and Walter Bumphus, president/CEO at American Association of Community Colleges.
