DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The murder trial for Amber Guyger will remain in Dallas County.
The defense had asked the Judge to move the trial because of media coverage in the Dallas area. But prosecutors argued that the former Dallas Police Officer’s trial stay in dallas because news coverage wasn’t pervasive enough to influence the jury.
The Judge ruled Monday to keep the trial in Dallas.
The jury and four alternates were chosen last Friday.
Guyger told police she shot and killed Botham Jean last September after mistaking her apartment for her own. The trial is scheduled to start September 23.
