An Expansion May Already Be in the Works for the Newly Open TEXRail Service

Tarrant County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The newly opened TEXRail Service in Tarrant County could soon already be getting an expansion.

Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn have written the federal transit administration saying they support using $40-million in federal funds to stretch the line about two miles southwest into Fort Worth’s medical district.

The reason according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram is because thousands of people work and live in that area.

The TEXRail opened in January and connects Fort Worth to North Richland Hills and DFW Airport.

Both senators pointed out that it should be an easy process with minimal red tape.
