Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Residents at a far North Dallas apartment complex were left scrambling after a four-alarm fire broke out around midnight.
Shauntia Jones lives at the Tivoli Apartments near Rosemeade and Midway and says she heard a loud boom, which ended up being a utility pole that fell against her building.
“The pole was leaning on the building so that’s when I went back in and said, we gotta get out of here. So we started getting dressed and running out.”
Dallas Fire and Rescue says 12 units were affected and no one is believed to be injured.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced families.
No word on what caused the utility pole to topple over.
