EL PASO (WBAP/KLIF) – President Donald Trump arrived in El Paso Wednesday afternoon where 22 people were killed Saturday in a mass shooting at a local WalMart.
The President and First Lady Melania Trump visited University Medical Center to meet with victims of Saturday’s shooting.
“We were there a lot longer than we were anticipated to be,” said President Trump. “We met with numerous people. We met also with doctors and nurses.”
The President then went to a 9-1-1 Center where he met with the El Paso Chief of Police, vowing to support the city anyway he can.
“We are with you 100 percent,” President Trump insisted.
Trump also greeted some of the Officers who first responded to the crime scene.
Earlier Wednesday, the President met with city leaders of Dayton, Ohio where a second weekend mass shooting claimed the lives of nine people in an entertainment district.
