McKinney Teen Drowns in Golf Course Pond

(McKinney, Texas) – A group of Mckinney teens having some fun in a golf course pond Tuesday night resulted in tragedy.

McKinney fire says a 16-year went underwater and began struggling in a pond at the Ranch Country Club golf course.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found the teen dead just after 8pm.

An investigation is underway.

Meantime, a Mesquite woman became the 2nd North Texas in the past week involved in drowning incident at Turner Falls in Oklahoma.

26-year old Jeslin Jose was with a group of friends walking hand-in-hand in waist deep water went a strong current took them under. Jose could not swim.

The City of Davis oversees Turner Falls and has warning
