(WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas’ gang unit is about to double in size.
Thanks to a $1.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, two new prosecutors and one additional investigator will be added to the team.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the new members are needed to help deal with groups such as MS 13 and 18th street gangs.
The gang unit has noticed a troubling trend, with younger teens getting pulled into gang activity.
