ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF)- Homeland Security Investigations arrested about 280 illegal immigrants at the CVE Technology Business in Allen. HSI said they were searched and taken into custody for unlawfully working in the U.S. This criminal investigation befan after HSI said they received multiple tips that the company may have knowingly hired and many of the employees were using fraud ID documentation, and stealing people’s identities. “Businesses that knowingly hire illegal aliens create an unfair advantage over competing businesses and take jobs away from U.S. citizens and legal residents,” said HSI Dallas Special Agent Katrina Berger. Berger said this operation was large and complex but safety was a top priority. “We took a number of steps to make sure today’s operation was conducted in a safe and humane manner…For example, medical personal were on scene child protective services were on standby,” Berger said.
All of the immigrants will be interviewed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to record any medical, sole-care giver or other humanitarian conditions.
