Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The US Army Corps of Engineers is set to collect soil samples today from the area where a 12-year-old girl was killed in a home explosion last year.

The samples will be analyzed at a lab in Arlington to see if the earth-shifting theory Atmos provided to the city council is the reason for the gas leaks that led to the explosion.

Atmos says heavy rain at the time caused the soil to shift.

The National Transportation Safety Board says investigating the soil is the last step in its investigation.
