Texas Lawyers Going After E-Cigarette Makers

(WFAA)

Fort Worth, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Attorneys in texas are looking to sue the manufacturers of batteries used in e-cigarettes.

This, after several Texans, including a Tarrant county man last month, have been badly injured or killed after their e-cigarettes exploded.

Austin-based attorney Craig Eiland tells the Fort Worth Star Telegram experts they’ve contacted liken the batteries to bullets in your pocket that could go off at any time.

They say the high-powered batteries are meant to be used in power tools — not smaller e-cigarettes.
