DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Department of Labor released a report on Friday, showing 43,000 new jobs were created in Texas in January and 304,000 jobs across the country. That makes two straight months of solid job growth. The recent boom in the Petroleum industry is one factor contributing to job growth in Texas. Dallas investment management expert Spencer McGowan says it’s great news after some analysts predicted a coming recession. McGowan says there have been no recent warning signs of a recession.
