Former Rangers Pitcher John Wetteland Arrested on Sexual Abuse of a Child Charge

DENTON  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Former Texas Rangers pitcher John Wetteland has been arrested on a charge of continued sexual abuse of a child under 14.

Denton County Jail records show he was arrested Monday. He posted a $25,000 bond and was released the same day.

Wetteland pitched for the Rangers from 1997-2000 and was the World Series MVP in 1996 for the New York Yankees.
