FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF)- Frisco’s Sci-Tech Discovery Center hosted a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration Monday. Peter Claffey Executive Director for the Discovery Center said they did a countdown to noon, and had a 400 filled balloon ball drop for the kids. “We had all hands on deck with STEM activities set up around the whole museum as well as science demonstrations and games for the kids,” Claffey said. “This is a good way for the kids to celebrate the New Year and really feel like they are at a party,” he said. This is Sci-Tech’s 3rd year doing this event, the goal is to prepare kids for back to school in the new year.
