VIDEO: District 32 Candidates Sessions and Allred Debate Iran, Healthcare and More

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The two candidates in Dallas’ hotly contested District-32 House race squared off in a debate last night, hosted by the American Jewish Committee-Dallas and Jewish Latino.

Incumbent Republican Rep. Pete Sessions blasted his Democratic challenger, Colin Allred for supporting the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. Sessions accused Allred of being pro-Iranian.

Allred said he supported the deal because it sought to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of Iranians, and it was working. President Trump pulled out of the deal earlier this year.

On the topic of healthcare, Sessions talked about how expensive Obamacare has become.

Allred pointed out Sessions’ voting record and how he doesn’t support protecting pre-existing conditions.

Sessions said plans he has proposed in congress does protect pre-existing conditions. Allred said it’s irrelevant because it’s never received a vote.
