Fort Worth Fire Dept. Doubles Swift Water Rescue Units to Prepare for Severe Flooding

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – The Fort Worth Fire Department is preparing for severe flooding by doubling their swift water rescue teams.  Chief Jeff Novak with Fort Worth Fire Department said some of the lakes are beginning to release water and is causing local creeks to swell, he tells residents who live near creeks if you are told to evacuate you must to ensure safety. Novak also urges drivers to turn around if you see flooding on the road.
