‘This is our city’: Residents of Hispanic FTW Neighborhood React to Anti-Immigration Banner

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – An Hispanic community in Fort Worth is reacting to an anti-immigration banner that was hung from a busy Fort Worth Bridge recently.

According to the Star-telegram, the banners read “Deport them all.” It had been hung from the Morningside Bridge on I-35, which is in a predominately Hispanic area.
A group of Hispanic men on their way to work Tuesday took the banner down.

The grassroots organization United Fort Worth posted a video of their reaction to the banner.

One man said, that what he saw in the banner was “hate,” Another man said, This is a pretty clear message that they don’t want us here, but we’re not going to go anywhere […] this is our city.”
