Abdul Alhassan, 33 (Tarrant Count Sheriff’s Department)

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A former bouncer at the varsity tavern has been indicted on a sexual assault charge.

The star-telegram reports, 33-year old Abdul Alhassan is accused on driving two intoxicated women home from the bar in march, then raping both women inside one of their homes.

Alhassan has been free on a $20,000 bond since his arrest in April.

The accusers are 20 and 22-year old friends who reported the assaults to fort worth police back in march after sexual assault exams.

Varsity Tavern officials say Alhassan, who is from Ghana, quit his job months ago, and that they had only recently learned of the assault allegations.

The Star-Telegram reports:

“According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the two women had gone to the Varsity Tavern on or about March 23 to celebrate the birthday of a friend – a Fort Worth police officer who sometimes worked security at the club. They older woman reportedly asked Alhassan, who was head of security, if he could get them into the bar even though her friend was only 20.

He reportedly let the younger woman in through a VIP entrance but told her 22-year-old friend “he wanted her phone number in return for the favor.”
