DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Former Balch Springs Police Officer Roy Oliver has been transferred out of the Dallas County Jail.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department says Oliver has been taken and turned over to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to begin serving his 15 year prison sentence for murder.
Oliver was taken to the James “Jay” H. Byrd unit in Huntsville.
Oliver was found guilty of murder when he shot into a moving vehicle, killing 15-year-old Jordan Edwards.
