Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is looking into installing sensors at its security lines so travelers will be able to check how long lines are through the mobile app.
One traveler this morning said that as much as he travels, he loves the idea.
“Oh tremendously! If you can move through faster and still be secure, why not?”
The airport’s board of directors will vote today on securing the contract for the technology.
If approved, two terminals would have it by the end of the year, with the rest installed by next summer.
A female passenger who says that she travels often, says she would use it.
“You could spend more time doing other things rather than standing in line.”
Passengers would be able to track the length of lines through the D-F-W Airpor app.
Security lines at @DFWAirport may become more transparent soon. Airport could be adding technology that would allow passengers to know exactly how long lines are before getting there. Details on @WBAP247NEWS & @570KLIF pic.twitter.com/4KHyrWl77X
