DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) – Clear the Shelters is a nationwide event now credited with saving the lives of more than 150-thousand dogs and cats. More than 60 North Texas shelters are taking part in this event, designed to bring attention to crowded shelters and the purebreds and mutts available at shelters.
The Dallas SPCA opens their doors at 9:30 Saturday morning. Spokeswoman Maura Davies invites everyone to come browse the pets for adoption “to find their furever best friend”.

Davies says potential adopters will still be interviewed by shelter staff to ensure pets are going to loving and forever homes.
