DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Eight members of the violent MS-13 gang have been indicted with multiple charges against ten victims in North Texas.
U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox, who was joined by Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson says these indictments prove that the Metroplex is not gang-free.
“We’d like to think that we don’t have a gang problem here in North Texas but this case, and the many others in my office and Faith’s office are working on, demonstrate otherwise,” Cox said Friday.
The Department of Justice says all were in the country illegally and are facing charges stemming from attempted murder, assault, and racketeering.
Seven of the eight have been arrested. One remains at large.
The following people were indicted:
25-year-old Rolan Ivan Hernandez-Fuentes
20-year-old Jerson Gutierrez-Ramos
26-year-old Cristian Wilfredo Cabrera-Cruz
19-year-old Kevin Cruz
19-year-old Jose Armando Saravia-Romero
21-year-old Manuel Amaya-Alvarez
20-year-old Jonathan Alexander Baires
The eighth person remains under seal.
