Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police were involved in a shooting this morning that resulted in the death of an alleged car thief.
Chief Renee Hall says it started when the 27-year-old man crashed a stolen car in a neighborhood and fired shots at a citizen.
He was then chased by police to another neighborhood off Havencove Drive in Pleasant Grove, where he crashed into a creek.
Police ordered the suspect out of the car. he got out holding a weapon, which he was ordered to drop; he instead pointed the gun at officers, prompting them to shoot, killing him on the spot.
In a Facebook Live police, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall updated the media about the shooting.
