Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – President Trump’s Supreme Court nomination is on the front of many North Texans’ mind this morning.

I have long heard that the most important decision a U.S. President can make is the selection of a Supreme Court Justice – Will be announced tonight at 9:00 P.M.

He’s expected to announce his pick tonight.

One man in Mesquite told our Scott Sidway, “It’s a very important pick because they’re going to put a conservative in there we need it.”

Another man said, he doesn’t like that Justice Anthony Kennedy is retiring. He feels the pick would be “a little bit more for the worse, mainly because whoever Trump is picking things could start leaning more to the right, less in favor of regular citizens.”

Another man said, “They need a lady in there from the perspective of, it’s fair across the board.”

President Trump told reporters that as of Sunday afternoon he still hadn’t narrowed his choices down to one candidate, but said with his final four options “you can’t go wrong.” Those options are believed to be federal appeals judges Brett Kavanaugh, Raymond Kethledge, Amy Coney Barrett and Thomas Hardiman.
