Gaining Success in Palo Pinto County Wildfire

4,500 acres in Palo Pinto County may be burned in a wildfire just west of Fort Worth, but firefighters are gaining ground – the fire now 80% contained.  National Weather Service meteorologists are working closely with fire commanders, offering very specific area forecasts.  With a significant chances of thunderstorms that could form today, the worry is erratic, dangerous winds in downdrafts that accompany the storms, increase fire territory, and put firefighters in harm’s way.   Rain showers are also possible on the Palo Pinto County wildfire today through the next couple of days.  No buildings have burned in this wildfire.
