AAA Texas Offers “Tipsy Tow” During the July 4th Holiday

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – AAA Texas hopes to reduce drunk driving this 4th of July by offering it’s “Tipsy Tow” service.

Starting at 6 p.m. today, the agency will send a tow truck free of charge to pick up inebriated drivers and their cars.

There are some restrictions, AAA Texas said the program is considered a “last resort” service. So, they’ll only take callers to their cars to their home or hotel.

The service will also not go more than 10 miles from the initial location.

As a general rule of safety, the AAA Texas advises anyone who intends to go out and drink to have a designated driver or call a cab or ride-share service already plan.
