Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Dozens of sick cats were recently rescued from an abandoned Fort Worth property.
The Humane Society of North Texas and the Tarrant County Sherriff’s Department found 41 cats in cages and suffering with intestinal worms, fleas and ear mites.
Officials with the Humane Society told WFAA-TV that it appeared as though the cats had been living in the deplorable conditions for quite some time. They were found inside a building that didn’t have running water or electricity in wire cages and travel carriers. Inside the cages, was rancid water.
The cats are being treated and all will be available for adoption when healthy.
Donations are welcome to help with treatment. Click here to donate.
