Westwood One (WBAP/KLIF) –  Citing “tremendous anger and open hostility“, in a statement, President Trump has called off the June 12th summit with North Korea.

Trump also said he felt it was “inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting.” The president says the North Koreans talk about their nuclear capabilities, ``but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.”

Meantime, during an appearance on FOX & Friends, the President says North Korea may be allowed to give up its nuclear weapons in phases in exchange for sanctions relief. Trump made the remarks on “Fox & Friends” this morning, as U.S. and North Korean leaders negotiate the terms of a planned summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The Trump administration has called for the denuclearization of North Korea. Trump said a phased-in approach may need to be necessary, but added, it would have to be a rapid phase-in.
