Fort Worth Police Release Video of Person of Interest in School Bus Stop Attack


FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Fort Worth Police are still searching for the person responsible for assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a bus stop last week.

The attack occurred last Thursday near Calmont Avenue near Laredo Drive just before 7 a.m.

Sergeant Chris Britt said although they’ve received leads on a person of interest, they’re urging the community to be on alert.

“With good reason they should be concerned and we’re concerned as well. The chief has taken a very active role in this,” he said.

Information from the public can be vital to solving a case. Britt said he wanted any potential witnesses to be assured that they are not in danger of being targeted.

“We’re not worried about criminal history. We’re not worried about things like that for people that may be witnesses or have information…please come an tell us,” he said.

The suspect is a white or Hispanic man, 30 to 40 years old and was wearing a light colored shirt and dark pants.

The victim is in critical condition and is unable to speak with investigators.
