DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Atmos Energy executives said Wednesday that the company’s current system in Dallas is safe.
The company maintains that it is dedicated to the city of Dallas and is heart broken of the loss of a young girl in a home explosion earlier this year. Dallas City Councilman Adam Medrano told the executives that they lost the trust of the community.
“The trust is lost,” said Medrano. “So I think it’s going to be tough for you guys to build that back but I think you should show up to community meetings. And if there is a leak, we have to know right away.”
The executives said they will continue pipe replacement in Dallas at an accelerated pace.
