Plano Police Confirm Human Remains Found in Anna Belong to Christina Morris

PLANO  (WBAP/KLIF News) – The family of Christina Morris got some much-needed closure this week, after Plano police confirmed that the human remains found in Anna Wednesday belonged to their long-lost loved one.

Fighting back tears, Morris’ family thanked the law enforcement for helping to find Christina and bringing her home.

“This, I must say, is the most difficult day that I have ever faced in my entire life. I know my daughter, I know our daughter is in a better place. I know she’s in Heaven. I know she’s proud of us for not giving up. I know she’s smiling,” said her mother Jonni Hare.

Christina’s sister Sarah Estes said the family held fiercely on to the hope that they would find her.

“Come home Nina. Giving up is not an option. Can’t stop won’t stop. These are the words we’ve proclaimed time and time again over the past three and half years. We made a promise to Christina that we would find her and bring her home. 2,185 days after her disappearance Christina was found,” said her sister Sara Estes.

Plano police confirmed the results of the identification by the Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday afternoon.

“We will continue to investigate this case and work with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office in our continuing efforts to get justice for the family and loved ones of Christina Morris,” said Plano Police Chief Gregory Rushin.

Morris was last seen on August 30,2014 leaving the Shops at Legacy in Plano with an acquaintance Enrique Arochi.

Arochi was eventually convicted of Morris’ kidnapping and sentenced to life in prison.

Police haven’t said how this will affect charges against Arochi.
