Weatherford, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A Parker County teen was arrested and taken into juvenile custody Sunday for posting a threat to a school on social media.
The Parker County Sheriff’s office says multiple people reported the Snapchat post by a student at Crosstimbers Academy, a public charter school in Weatherford.
When contacted by deputies, the student admitted to posting a ‘selfie’ with the hashtag ‘#SchoolsShootingChallengeMonday,’ but says the threat was meant as a joke.
The teen faces a third degree felony charge of terroristic threat.
