DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas police arrested two men for the murder of a 14-year Samuel High School Student last month.

25-year-old Ernest Salazar and 22-year-old George Salazer are being held at the Dallas County Jail for the murder of Natalie Hernandez.

Hernandez and a friend were shot near Ormond Street and Umphress Road, a few blocks from Umphress Park on February 12.

Investigators said officers had been called to a convenient store at 1731 South Buckner Boulevard around 9:43 p.m. about a shooting, where they found Hernandez and a 16-year-old boy shot.

The pair had managed to escape the location of the shooting in an effort to get help.

Witnesses told investigators they saw four men in a dark-colored car drove up to theirs and opened fire.

Shortly after the murder, Crime Stoppers offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Dallas police said they still had a few people they wanted to interview in connection with the shooting.
