Dallas City Leaders Working to Take Guns Out of the Hands of Domestic Abusers

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas city leaders are working to take guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.

The City of Dallas, the District Attorney’s Office, the Dallas Police Department and other agencies said Friday that they will work together to take guns away from domestic violence convicts and defendants.
Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said her Officers will record which criminals have guns and relay the information to the Judge.

“This is a way that we can help ensure that the information gets relayed to the Judges in an efficient manner,” said Chief Hall. “We are committed to do our part.”

Judges are being asked to order the criminals to surrender their guns.
