Hurst Traffic Fatality May Be Attributed to Weather

Dallas/Fort Worth (WBA/KLIF) – Police in Hurst are attributing speed and weather conditions to a traffic fatality in the 900 block of westbound 121-183 overnight.

A male driver was ejected from his Ford pick-up around 2 this morning and pronounced dead at the scene.

No other passengers or drivers were involved.

Meantime, crews continue scanning the roads this morning trying to find treacherous spots caused by overnight ice. Most roads in Collin County were clear early this morning — the service road at Coit and the George Bush Turnpike was shut down temporarily, but has since reopened.

The Sam Rayburn Tollway and Dallas North Tollway appears to be mostly ice-free. We’d like to see any pictures you may have of any icy conditions you’ve noticed.

You can send them them to us on our Facebook page or our Twitter account.

And, several school districts are delayed this morning. Among districts reporting a 10 A.M. start are: Lindsay, Valley and Walnut.
