(Forney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Allegations of hazing involving players of the Forney High School boys soccer team have prompted a criminal investigation.
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department says five student athletes are facing Sexual Assault charges. Four of the five students are juveniles. Arrests were made Thursday.
Forney ISD officials released a statement confirming that no employees were under investigation; additionally, they said that as soon as they heard of the allegations the took them “very seriously” and called authorities.
It’s believed the alleged hazing may have been occurring for a while on the soccer team.
“It appears to the investigators that chances of assaults happening over the years is pretty good,” said Jolie Stewart with the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office.
Specific details involving members of the soccer team have not been disclosed. The investigation continues.
