GUNTER (WBAP/KLIF) – The Gunter and Bonham school districts in northern Texas have decided to close for a week to help fight the flu. In Gunter, Superintendent Jill Siler says there’s never been a flu season as bad as this one, with one-third of students experiencing flu-like symptoms. Siler says the next few days will be dedicated to disinfecting classrooms and buses. Students are set to return Wednesday, January 24. Last month, a flu outbreak in Sunnyvale forced schools to close for two days.
